Hi Guys!  My name is Gena Pagano. This is my 12th year teaching PE & my 9th year at Simkins Elementary School.  I have 2 awesome ADULT kids (wow, how did that happen so fast!) who are both GCS graduates. I LOVE pink, glitter, KINDNESS and staying fit & active!!!

I LOVE our amazing school and all of the opportunities that our scholars have to succeed.  I believe that Physical Education is so important for all aspects of our well-being. My goal is to create an atmosphere where everyone can learn, succeed and most of all... have FUN!  I feel that exercise is so important for all of us and if we create a love of movement at a young age, it will lead to healthier and more active lifestyles later on in life.

Scholars can expect to work hard every time they participate in PE.  It is so important to dress for success on PE days by wearing sneakers and comfortable clothing.  We will be working on fitness challenges, underhand & overhand throwing skills, basketball, bowling, cooperative games and so much more.  Your child may come home talking about our PE Penguins... They are a HUGE part of our PE program and we all LOVE them! Showing good sportsmanship, teamwork, effort and being kind to others are all very important to me. 

Our motto in the gym is to "Work Hard, Dream BIG & make it a...WICKED AWESOME DAY!!!  Join me for "P.I.N.K. Friday's" and wear pink to show  kindness!!! :)
