Welcome to English Language Learners! 

I have been at Johnson Street Global Studies since 2005. Before that, I taught overseas in Malaysia for 7 years and have a passion for global learning and experiencing different cultures. I am the ELL teacher. This has formerly been known as many titles such as ESL, ESOL and EFL. ELL stands for English Language Learners and eligible students are officially designated as ELLs from testing. 

I love working with my ELLs in reading, writing, speaking and listening. I take grade level groups to work on these skills, working with their class material and what they are currently studying in class in Language Arts. I advocate for them, help them with their work and form relationships with them and their families, when possible. From Kindergarteners to eight graders, I want to see them have success in school!
