In past years I was a Spanish instructor in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro school system. I look forward to working with each of my students--we will accomplish a great deal this year! 6th graders are part of an Exploratory Class of Spanish and will meet every other week throughout the year.

7th and 8th graders take Spanish 1 every day for two years. If they meet course requirements and receive a passing grade, they are eligible to receive a high school credit and move on to Spanish 2 when they get to high school. Parents/Guardians, please help students to remember to save all of their handouts and notebook throughout both years of Spanish--these will help them later on. They should organize the handouts by units. 8th graders should review their Spanish 1 notes and handouts the summer or semester before entering Spanish 2 (as well as visit links on Canvas for textbook activities, grammar games, etc.). If you have any questions, please let me know.

NOTE:  HOMEWORK AND INFORMATION WILL BE SENT THROUGH CLASSDOJO NOW (2018-).....PLEASE ASK MRS. SMITH FOR A CODE TO SIGN UP IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO.  This web page will still be up for basic information and textbook links.
