Hello my name is Mrs. Harris and I am a proud third grade teacher here at Sumner Elementary!

I am a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and native of Greensboro. I am looking forward to having the BEST year with you and your child! This year's theme for our classroom/school is "Learning Takes You Places". We are a district focused and driven to help prepare our students for the "real world', therefore, I always think it best to set the bar a little higher to get my students really thinking about their future! Our classroom is a place where students come to learn from not only me, but also their peers, their lives, and their experiences. WE ARE SCHOLARS...we are not just smart, but hard workers who don't settle but exhibit a growth mindset!
