Mrs. Theresa Smith

This is my 12th year here at Sumner Elementary School and my 20th year of teaching. I came here to Greensboro, North Carolina from Massachusetts 21 years ago with my 4 children and husband. Steve is a high school teacher of entrepreneurship. My oldest son is a mechanic, the oldest twin is a nurse in the at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virgina and his twin lives in New York and is studying to be a computer technician. Our baby is Gabriella, who is employed as an ASL Interpreter.

The best thing about teaching is watching my students grow into excellent students and seeing the connections they make with learning.
