I am thrilled to serve as the principal of Archer Elementary! Archer is truly a wonderful school that is metaphorically “a portrait of the world” due to the representation of students from a variety of countries & cultures – including China, Vietnam, Mexico, Columbia, Nigeria, Dominican Republic and many more. At Archer, we believe that diversity contributes to the richness of our wonderful school.
During the 2018-19 school year, our school exceeded growth overall, while meeting growth in math and exceeding growth in reading. We are proud of this accomplishment and will continue to challenge our students so they reach their maximum level of potential.
In order to ensure the success of all students, it is paramount that there is a home-school connection. Listed below are some suggestions that will support this effort:
- Ensure that your child/ren complete homework each evening.
- In addition to regular homework, it is VERY important that your children are reading each evening. If they are not bringing books home, please contact their teacher.
- Attend parent/teacher conferences
- Limit the amount of television that is watched and the playing of video games.
I look forward to working with each one of you and appreciate the support that you provide! This will be an outstanding year!
