My name is Francis Baki. I am originally from Belize Central America. I have been teaching in the US Public School for five years. I have been a member of the Newcomers family for three wonderful years. I have been in education for 20 years. I have taught from Kindergarden to Junior College but my passion is teaching High School Mathematics. I have also worked as Administrator for 6 years while I was living in Belize. Course Description:
Math 1 continues the study of algebraic concepts. It includes operations with polynomials, creation and application of linear , Quadratic and Exponential functions. Students will be expected to describe and translate among graphic, algebraic, numeric, tabular, and verbal representations of relations and use those representations to solve problems. Appropriate technology, from manipulative, calculators and application software, will be used regularly for instruction and assessment.
Prerequisites to my Math 1 class is the following:
Operate with the real numbers to solve problems.
Identify, and find the slope and intercepts of a linear relation.
Describing relationship between variables.
Collect, organize, analyze, and display data to solve problems.
