Welcome to Social Studies!

Hi! My name is Ms. Moore and I teach 6th grade Social Studies. In 6th grade, we study World History. We begin our year looking at geography to help us navigate the world on our historical journeys. Next, we look at early human history. The largest part of our year is spent studying river civilizations. This is an exciting portion of our time. We study ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, India, Greece and Rome. After that we look at the world and how it develops up until the 1600's. This course is full of exciting topics and ideas. I can't wait to share this with my students.
