Biographical Information:

I am a graduate of East Carolina University, holding degrees both in English Education and Classical Studies. I have taught at Kearns Academy for 16 years, having previously taught at J. H. Rose HS in Greenville, NC, and at Farmville Central HS in Farmville, NC.  I am certified to teach AP English, ELA, Social Studies, AP World History, and Latin.

Personally, I am a Darwinian success story, having sired four offspring (male). My oldest son is a professional firefighter, my second son is a congressional staffer, my third son is a United States Marine, and my youngest is an impish 3rd grader. I enjoy riding motorcycles, belonging to two riding groups. Additionally, I am a volunteer and the Executive Officer for the Nathaniel Greene Young Marines, a youth group for ages 8- graduation, wherein I maintain the database, help with activities, and tell children to do more push ups.
