Hello Wildcat Family!

I am excited to start my second full year as principal at Eastern Guilford High School.  I am a member of the class of 1991 and proud alumnus of Eastern Guilford High School.  After high school, I attended Western Carolina University on a North Carolina Teaching Fellows Scholarship.  My teaching career allowed me to teach social studies and language arts to 6-12 grade students in three different NC school districts.  In 2006, I received my Masters in School Administration from NCA&T State University.  My administrative career started at Northwest Guilford High School in 2005.  Since then I have served as an assistant principal at Southeast Guilford and Walter Williams High School.  In 2014, I received my first principalship at The Middle College at GTCC High Point.  I served there until March of 2016 when I moved back home to Eastern Guilford.

Eastern Guilford High School is the best-kept secret in North Carolina.  The amazing staff here works tirelessly to make sure our students receive an excellent education.  We encourage our entire student body to find a way to make a deeper connection at school through service learning, academics, the arts, clubs, organizations, and/or one of our multiple athletic teams.  After graduation, all our students should be ready to make positive contributions through higher education, military service, or the workforce.

I look forward to another great year.  GO CATS!

It is great to be a part of the Eastern Guilford High School Family!   Each year I look forward to working with our students, teachers, parents, the community and our local leaders.

I have served as an educator for almost twenty-three years as a teacher at Griffin Middle School, school counselor at Lincoln Middle School and Hairston Middle School and an assistant principal at Page High School and Eastern Guilford High School for five years.  Prior to being an educator, I worked in business and industry.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Appalachian State University, Master of Science in Counselor Education from NC A&T State University and Master of School Administration from NC A&T State University.

This year we have the BEST staff we have ever assembled, and an amazing student body to work with. Continuing our academic excellence, athletic competitiveness and focus on social-emotional well-being is going to yield tremendous gains for us throughout the year.

I look forward to working with each one of you this year as we transition “from Good to Great!”

Hello Wildcat Family!

I am excited to start another great school year at Eastern Guilford High.  I have worked as an educator with Guilford County School for 17 years, first as a middle school science and social studies teacher and now as a school administrator.  Greensboro became my home in 1992 when I arrived to the city as a college student. I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Bennett College and a Master of Science in Chemistry from North Carolina A&T State University.  After working as an educator for several years I pursued and earned a Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I truly enjoy being a part of the EGHS and GCS team.

Go Wildcats!
