I am honored to begin my sixth year as the proud principal of Southern Guilford High School. I am most excited about partnering with students, parents, teachers, and our school community to complete the team of support for our students. It is my goal to provide the best education possible for all of our students by providing resources, being supportive, collaborating with our stakeholders, and building on the excellence that our school has already established. I want to help provide a rigorous curriculum with high expectations of students while building a community where all stakeholders feel valued and respected. Personal
My wife and I have three kids who keep us very busy. We value family time and have a lot of fun swimming, playing sports/dance, and going to the beach in the summer. There is always something to laugh about in our home. We work hard and play hard. I am a big fan of the Florida Gators and Atlanta Braves. Although I was born in Florida, I have lived in North Carolina for 28 years.

Teachers, students, parents, and principals should have high expectations of themselves and others because high expectations will produce desired results. We must be a student-centered community.

It is my mission to be accessible and visible to teachers, parents, and students. I think that effective communication is important.
