Course Goal: To develop determined, disciplined, and responsible individuals who strive to improve their athleticism (strength, power, speed, agility) and personal character.
Lesson Objectives and Course Philosophy
When taught, each lesson will be incorporated into the class’s weekly program for the remainder of the semester. Physical lessons will build upon each other throughout the semester. This ensures that each student will get an adequate amount of repetition of the new activity, so that it will become second nature in their workout routines. Character education units will be linked with many physical activities. The lessons learned will be applied and expected inside the weight room, with the hope of helping produce well-rounded, respectful citizens outside of the class.
