Hello Parents and Students!

I am Mrs. White and I'm thrilled to be your teacher for 2018-2019 school year.  I love teaching and opening the minds of young people.  I hope you had a great summer and you're excited about the new school year. We are going to have a lot of fun as we learn. It's going to be a year of new adventures and discoveries that we will explore together.  

I want to share just a little information about myself. I've been teaching for well over 20 years. Most if my experience has been in second grade.  This will be my 11th year at Pearce. I am originally from a small town right outside of Wilmington North Carolina. I'm married with one child, a daughter who is a Freshmen at NC State. In my free time, I enjoy watching television and reading childrens books.  I believe in getting to know each child as an individual and building relationships with student and parents, but especially the student. I've come to realize that a strong student-teacher relationship is the key to successful learning and positive behavior.

I look forward to working with each and everyone of you. I know this will be an awesome school year for us all.
