Greetings! For those of you who do not know me, my name is Mr. Barnard and 2019-2020 will be my 14th year of teaching at Grimsley High School. Over the summer, I made the transition from the science department to AP/IB Coordinator and Theory of Knowledge teacher. I grew up in Wilmington, NC where I graduated from E.A. Laney High School (better known as Michael Jordan’s high school). I attended Appalachian State University for 3 years and completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at UNCG. I also have a Masters Degree in Geosciences from Mississippi State University.  I love teaching at Grimsley because of the diversity of the students and the history of the school. Go Whirlies!
