Hi!  I'm Eric Craven. 

I have been teaching at Kernodle Middle School for 20 years.  For the first 18 years I taught 6th grade math and science.  For the last 2 years I taught 8th grade science.  I have a BA in Economics from the University of Virgina and and MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from UNCG.  I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in Adolescent Math.  

Before teaching I served as and Armor (tanks) Officer in the US Army for 10 years and as a Manufacturing Engineer and Field Support Tech Engineer for Owens Corning for 8 years.

My wife and I have 2 grown and married children and 3 grandchildren.  Both of our children came through Kernodle with my son opening it as a 7th grader, so I have a long connection with Kernodle.  My wife teaches Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) at Northwest Middle School.  Just a little rivalry going on between us!
