Welcome to Mr. Reece's class!  I have taught here at Smith HS since 2008.  Before that I taught in Wake County for 12 years.   In the summer of 2019 my role shifted from Network Engineering to teaching in the Advanced Manufacturing Academy.  In the Academy I am teaching Honors Advanced Technology for Design and Production(Level 1 course) and Honors Systems of Advanced Technology(Level 2 course).  In addition to these courses we have added Mechatronic Systems for Advanced Production(Level 3 Course). In these classes we will learn about the advanced manufacturing techniques that are used throughout industry.

In my class students will learn about solid modeling, 3D printing, electronics, hydraulics, and the computerized sensors that allow modern manufacturing to take place.  The math and science concepts that support these technologies will also be covered.
