At General Greene, the AG services are provided through the enrichment model. According to the GCS approved AIG plan:"The enrichment model for AG students in grades 3-5 will be updated at all schools to expose students to inquiry-based learning opportunities in reading, writing, mathematics and service learning. Students will set their own goals and keep a data notebook of their progress."About Mrs. HuffI have been involved with General Greene since my oldest son was a kindergartner, which was in 1997! After spending a few years as a parent volunteer (and PTA president), I was hired to teach third grade. I taught third grade from 2001-2004 then moved up to fourth grade with an awesome group of kids. I taught fourth grade for a few years, then in 2007 became the AG teacher. You can find me in "Cabin 2" which is the center cabin at the end of the third-fifth grade hallway. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Presbyterian College (Go Hose!), I received my master's degree as a reading specialist from UNCG, and finished my requirements as an academically gifted teacher from High Point University. I am also proud to share that I earned my National Board certification as a middle childhood generalist. My sons are both out of General Greene, one is a chemist and the other is a mechanical engineer. As you can see, General Greene did a fine job preparing them for a career in science!
