My name is Angela Hooper and I am currently in my 21st year of teaching. I have enjoyed teaching at Reedy Fork for the past 14 years.
In 2002, I graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education. In 2005, I earned my Masters in Elementary Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
I am lucky to have a very special niece and nephew. Gizmo Houdini Hooper is my dog, which I consider to be my daughter. The name fits her well because she loves to get into mischief and is a little bit of an escape artist. I am always willing to share interesting stories about her multiple escape attempts in her younger years. She is now 13 years old and perfect.
Maintaining some type of physical activity is important to me. I have an early morning exercise routine that I began in 2021 and am working hard to maintain. I attempt to participate in at least one 5K each year. I especially like the ones that involve obstacles and mud.
I work extremely hard to deliver instruction the best that I can and to keep it interesting for the students. They deserve my best and I expect students to try their best in class. I reflect on my teaching each day, listen to feedback given and strive to do better.
