Ms. Patricia Stringer

I am happy to be the Media Specialist at Northwest Guilford Middle School. I love spending my days helping staff and students access the information that they need to further their love for reading and learning. 

This is my 18th year in Guilford County Schools and my 11th year at NWMS. I was born and raised in Indiana and completed my undergraduate studies at Indiana University (Go Big Red!). I completed my Masters in Library Science at East Carolina University in 2011, making me a Hoosier Pirate! I have lived in several places since completing college - South Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Chicago and Taiwan. 

My husband and I have two beautiful daughters. We have been fortunate to live and travel extensively. Our adventures have taken us to the Middle East (Israel, Palestine and Petra, Jordan), mainland China, Istanbul, Turkey, a three-year term of service in Taipei, Taiwan and, most recently, England, Wales, and Scotland, visiting many author sites and historic sites along the way! 

We settled in North Carolina in 2006 and have been happy to call Carolina home since then. We thoroughly enjoy the weather and the extensive variety of the North Carolina landscapes, from the mountains to the beaches. I truly adore the Outerbanks and head there whenever I can.
