I love teaching at NWMS!
I am a native speaker of Spanish and English, as I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, but have American parents. I have been married to my sweet husband, Drew, for 37 years. He is a native of New Orleans. Together we have two wonderful grown children, and two beautiful granddaughters.
Our class motto is: “Work Hard-Be Nice”.
The best way to ensure your student’s success in Spanish is to help them use what they learn outside of school. Check out their vocabulary words and try to incorporate them in your home life. This way you can have fun learning along with them.
Learning a new language enhances your life and broadens your view of the world and humanity. I strive to keep my classes fun and stress free. If students learn and use their vocabulary, and make sure they understand the grammar, they will do just fine in my class.
I try to get to school shortly after 8:00 AM each morning, and students are welcome to stop by to talk about points they are having trouble with.
My preferred method of communication is email:firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to working with you to ensure a successful school year for your student.
Tutoring!!! Tutoring for 7th and 8th grades takes place in the mornings, in my room, from 8:15 to 8:45. A pass will be required.
