    8th Grade Social Studies

    Social Studies teacher starting his 26th year teaching and 17th year at NW! 

    Loves all the stories from history!

     Welcome to 8th grade Social Studies! I look forward to sharing what I consider to be the most interesting subject in 8th grade - North Carolina and United States History!

     

    I attended Wofford College for two years before transferring to and graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Political Science. I earned my teaching licensure from Greensboro College and my masters in middle grades education from Gardner-Webb University. Yeah...I've experienced alot of college! 

    My family includes my wife Kelley - the minister at Centenary United Methodist Church in Greensboro and my daughter Meredith whoo just graduated from Wake Forest University in 2021 and will be starting her teaching career this year teaching high school social studies. We have a puppy pug named Gunther. 

    My interests include traveling to historic places, learning new ways to grill food, and miniture modeling.
