• Hello! My name is Katelynn Burtis. I am originally from CT. I graduated from High Point University in 2012 with a major in Special education and a minor in English Literature. I student taught with my my wonderful colleague, Mrs. Kun,  during my senior year of college and was able to begin my teaching career the following fall at Shadybrook. This is my 6th year teaching full time at Shadybrook. I got married last summer to my high school sweetheart. We live together here in Guilford County with our two dogs and one cat. 

    My goal for my students is that the be held to high standards regardless of their challenges so that they can be successful and productive citizens who lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. I look forward to working with your child! :)
