• Hello Pre-K Families and Friends,

My name is Francesca Caraway.  I have been teaching Pre-K at Shadybrook Elementary School for the past 16 years and have found it to be the best school environment to work in. I feel privileged to work amongst such great educators who put students needs first.

I grew up in the small town of Thomasville, North Carolina. I graduated from NC A&T State University with a BS Degree in Early Childhood Education and Birth-Kindergarten Teaching License. I have also obtained my Early Childhood Administration Certification and School Mentor Certification which gives me opportunities to mentor, mold and shape new teachers to become effective teacher leaders as well. This year marks my 27th year working with Preschoolers. Teaching is not only my job, but my hobby and my passion!

My husband and I are both educators and have 3 children. Ethan, Tia, and Terrence all of whom are our most precious gifts to us. When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my family.

As a teacher, My goal is to provide students with early intervention strategies to help them reach their maximum potential and leave feeling successful at the end of each school  day. I am committed to the importance of parental involvement in a child's education. I firmly believe that my students will receive the best Early Education possible when parents and I work as a team.

I welcome your calls, notes, messages, and emails.

    Yours In Education,

    Francesca Caraway
