My name is Megan Hall and this is my 5th year at Northern Middle, and 11th year teaching physical education and health. I coach boy's and girl's soccer. I have a passion for teaching young students how to be physically fit and active by exposing them to various games, sports, activities, and movement concepts. My philosophy in teaching physical education and health is to provide opportunities for students to learn about movement, strategies, team work, problem solving and health related fitness. Exposing students to various physical activities, sports, and methods of fitness can better provide enjoyment of physical activity, as well as build social, psychomotor, and cognitive skills. It is my goal for students to leave Northern Middle with confidence in their abilities, in-depth understanding of health-related fitness, and an enjoyment of a life long activity to keep them physically active.
I am originally from Burlington, NC and attended Elon University for my undergraduate degree, where I also played soccer. When I am not teaching or coaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, son and two dogs. I also love spending time outdoors, running/exercising, and attending various sporting events.
I am happy to be a part of all the great things happening at Northern Middle school. Go Nighthawks!
