Peck Elementary Pre-K
Room # 305
Hola. Ni hao. Jambo. Namaste. Shalom.
Welcome to our wonderful pre-k world!
This is the best year ever. We are getting creative with Creative Curriculum, having fun with Fundations, and becoming more SEFEL-icous every day.
Through daily yoga, meditation and mindfulness, we are seeing the fruits of our whole-child approach.
At the intersection of intentional teaching and play, learning abounds.
My "Happy Place"? My classroom, of course! Truly.
Years of preparation for this greatest-of-all vocations, began in Oakland, California, where I earned my first Child Development degree at Merritt College. Fascinated by human culture, I continued my education at UNC-W, where I graduated with a BS in Anthropology. At NCA&TSU, I earned a Master's Degree in Educational Media, along with Elementary Education preparation, leading to NC K-6 Teaching Licensure. Most recently, I attended Greensboro College's PALS program and earned a B-K license.
I have been at Peck for seven years, and consider this to be a uniquely wonderful school, on a beautiful campus, in a vibrant city.
