  • Falkener Scholastic Book Fair

    The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Falkener Tuesday, Nov 1 - Friday Nov 4 in the Media Center during school hours! Be on the lookout for flyers coming home with more information. Interested in checking out online Book Fair information? This is our Book Fair's homepage.

    Families are invited to set up a Scholastic eWallet account (funds for shopping are added to an online account electronically) for your child to shop at the Book Fair without bringing in money to school. A flyer will come home with more information and this is a video on how to set it up if you are interested.

  • Volunteers Make a Difference with images of raised hands

    Looking for a way to get involved in the school’s community? Volunteering is the way to go!

    Each year volunteers help support our students and school by making great contributions like these:

    • Speak to students about their work and interests
    • Become a GCS advocate
    • Help in the school front office
    • Assist a teacher in the classroom or the cafeteria
    • PTA events
    • Food drives and MORE!

  • Falkener Can Food Drive

    Our IB Profile for October is " Caring". Our Falkener definition: "Falkener Dolphins make a difference in the community and the world around us by showing compassion and respect daily." Students will have the opportunity to earn a "Caring Badge" for the month of October. Students will earn 1 CARE Badge by donating one item of food. The kickoff will start Oct.3rd and last through the 25th.

  • Falkener Book Character Night

    We hope you will join us for our October Parent Event. We will host Book Character Night on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022 from 5:00pm-6:30pm. Parents and students will have the opportunity to travel through different stories while learning along the way.

  • My Energy Kit Program from Duke Energy

  • Destiny Discover logo

    Good morning, Falkener Readers,

    Falkener Library books can be placed on hold through Destiny Discover and picked up at school!  Video tutorials to walk you through the steps were in last week's library lesson and can be found here.

    These are the basic steps; details are covered in the videos!
    * Log into Destiny Discover
    -username: studentID# (ex. 0123456789)
    -password: birthdate with no dashes (ex. 05202012)
    * Search and place a print book on hold
    * Wait to be contacted by your teacher through Bloomz 
    * The book(s) will be available for one week for pick at Falkener!

    Do you have any library books at home from last year?  You can return them to the school at any school day between 8:00am - 3:00pm!  There will be a bin by the front door where you can drop the books off.
