Introduction

Dear GCS Students and Families,

Welcome to the Guilford County Schools 2026-27 Student Registration Catalog. With help from your counselor and family, please use this catalog to plan your courses for the next school year.

Guilford County Schools (GCS) is proud to offer a variety of courses for every student’s interest, including the arts, career and technical education (CTE) and Advanced Placement (AP). Students in grades 11 and 12 with a 2.8 GPA or higher may also take classes at GTCC, either in person or online. These classes are free, and you can earn college credits that transfer to most colleges.

Through GCS, students can participate in the Guilford Guarantee, our promise that every student will have the opportunity to earn college credits up to an associate’s degree, or an industry-recognized credential, or have a workplace learning experience such as an internship or job shadowing. Choosing these options helps you reach the first milestone on your roadmap to the future.

Be sure to work with your counselor or career and college manager to review your YouScience results and talk about the opportunities that are right for you. Use your time in high school to build the skills and experiences that will help you succeed after graduation.
