T. Dianne Bellamy Small was elected to serve as the District 1 representative in 2016, after 14 years of serving as a statewide parent advocate, trainer, consultant for Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center and trainer for the GCS Title I Conference. In addition, she has served GCS as a substitute teacher, trainer, performer and volunteer.

She served the Greensboro City Council District 1 from 2003-2013 and served in leadership roles on state and national leadership boards. She holds a degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and post-graduate degrees from Duke and the University of Maryland.
