Winston McGregor was first appointed to serve on the Guilford County Board of Education in July 2018 to complete the unexpired term for former Board of Education member Alan Duncan. In November of 2018, McGregor was elected to a full four-year term as the at-large representative.
As a longtime community and non-profit leader, McGregor currently serves as President of the Guilford Education Alliance. Previously she served as President and Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro, as Director of Development for the DLC in Washington, DC and as an aide to then Senator and Vice President Al Gore.
McGregor serves on the board of the National Conference for Community Justice and the steering committee for Triad Workforce Development Solutions Collaborative. She Chairs the Board of Education's Policy Committee and serves on the Joint Facilities/Capital Planning Committee and the Historically Underutilized Businesses Committee. She also serves as the Board’s PTA Council Liaison.
McGregor is a native of Guilford County and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the American University in Washington, DC.
