To continuously ensure that all GCS families know that we take our responsibilities seriously. From the moment the first student steps on the bus, until the last student walks off that bottom step – we know we have one of the most important jobs out there.

To provide safe, reliable, on-time transportation services for all students attending Guilford County Schools. 

Transportation Services

GCS Transportation Department employs over 800 staff members to support transportation of GCS students. Our transportation department is comprised of 11 transportation areas, a full maintenance division, and central office support staff.
