Working Collaboratively With the Media
-
Guilford County Schools is committed to sharing the great things happening in our schools and departments, and that means working with local and national media to talk about a variety of topics, including:
- New and ongoing initiatives
- Trends in education, and how they impact our local schools
- Creativity in the classroom
- Reaching students with special needs
- Building relationships with families, the community and beyond
We also recognize that GCS is a large school district, with more than 10,000 employees serving more than 72,000 students. Sometimes we face challenges that impact our students and staff. We are committed to being open and transparent as we deal with those issues, while always putting the safety and security of our students, staff and their families first.
