My name is Mrs. Christina Galvin. This is my 6th year as an Exceptional Children's teacher here at Bluford. I am extremely passionate about students growing both academically and personally each year. I am always striving to improve myself and my instruction so that students can continue to improve their skills. Currently, I am working with pullout groups and supporting students and teachers in the regular classroom through the inclusion model. The best part of my job is working with students as they move through grade levels. I love watching students mature over time.
When I’m not working with students at Bluford, I am busy at home with my family. Our home is always eventful. My sons George and Max keep my husband and I quite active. My favorite thing is spending time playing games with my family or taking my family and our dog to the park.
I grew up around Greensboro, where I was homeschooled for kindergarten through 12th grade. I graduated high school as a part of the North Carolina Home Educators Association in 2008. In 2010 I graduated from Guilford Technical Community College with an Associate Degree in Education. Following this, I attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University, and graduated in December 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education with a secondary licensure area of Special Education. Aggie Pride! I am currently researching and hoping to begin graduate school in the near future.
