BOB Team

  • Battle of the Books is an after school reading club that generally begins in October. Students in grades 4 and 5 are eligible to sign up. Students will read each of the Battle of the Books novels, take quizzes, answer discussion and trivia questions, and regularly attend practice. All students must memorize all 16 authors and titles from the Battle of the Books list. The Battle of the Books coaches will create a 12 person Battle of the Books team after the winter holiday. This will be in preparation for the Battle of the Books competition in February, where we will compete against other elementary schools in GCS! 

    The winner of the GCS competition will go on to the North Carolina Regional Finals. 

    We will meet on Thursday afternoons, from 2:30-3:30 when school is in session that day. Snacks will be provided.
