HOOT is an initiative created by our Specialists, designed to enhance the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) of our students.

HOOT stands for “Helping Ourselves and Others Thrive.”

The mission of this initiative is to provide students with opportunities to cultivate skills and develop strategies to become well-rounded individuals who care for themselves and others.

We will have special “HOOT Days” several times this year to learn and practice good character and self-care.  Our “HOOT Days” for the 2024-2025 school year are:

November: HOOT Community Celebration of Cultures

    January: Helping Others/Day of Kindness

    March: Helping Ourselves/HOOT Reboot

    May: Cooperative Learning/Field Day
