• Learn More about Us

As one of the smallest elementary schools in Guilford County, Vandalia has all of the components of a private school in a public school setting.  It is indeed an exciting place to learn and grow each day. At Vandalia, our staff provides our students with individualized, focused, hands-on, rigorous, and engaging instruction. Our principal is Mrs. Stephanie Rakes.

We are a PBIS school. We focus on positive behaviors: PAWS:  Practice responsibility and respect, Aim for success, Work with integrity, and Show courage.  We encourage kindness, respect, responsibility, and self-control.

We have 288 students enrolled. Out school demographic makeup is largely African-American and Hispanic.

Our mascot is Champ the Cougar, and our school colors are royal blue and gold.

We are in the southeastern section of the county. Mrs. Edyth Martin is our school support officer.
