BOGO Book Fair

Our annual BOGO (Buy 1, Get 1 Free ) Book Fair starts this Monday, May 1 and go through Friday, May 5, 2023. Students will be able to shop during their Media specials during the week. Please make sure you include money for taxes. Book Fair Family Night will be on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 3:00pm - 6:00 pm. The e-wallet is available for you to add money online so, your child does not have to bring physical money to school.

Family Fun Day for K-2

Please join us on May 12th . K will perform at 9:45 in the gym. 1 st will perform at 10:45 in the gym. 2 nd will perform at 11:45 in the gym. Please use the main entrance to sign in. After the performance, K and 1st grade families are invited to return to their child’s classroom for some engaging activities.

Blessing Box Shoe Drive

Simkins Elementary School has partnered with the Blessing Box Outreach Ministry to donate gently worn shoes to families in need in Africa. Please join use by donating any size gently worn pair of shoes. Collection Date is Wednesday, March 8th - Monday, March 13, 2023.

FYI: The clear-bag policy for athletic contests that begins this Friday, September 23.

Starting on Friday, Sept. 23, purses, backpacks and other traditional bags will not be allowed at sporting events on our campus. Acceptable bags must be made of clear plastic or vinyl, including gallon-sized or smaller zip storage bags. Small clutch bags, diaper bags and bags used for medical supplies will be allowed but will be subject to inspection. More information about this process can be found at www.gcsnc.com/athletics.
