Mr. Moore's Weekly Updates

Hello Eagle Families,

This is Mr. Moore with your updates for the week of 9/4-9/8. I apologize for the delay as my messaging system was down yesterday.

Thank you families, for an amazing first week of school. Students came to school eager and ready to learn. This week, there will be no school tomorrow, 9/4 for students and staff.

As we prepare for the second week of school, families keep in mind to join the car rider line for morning drop off and afternoon pick up. Due to safety concerns, do not park on the side to walk your child(ren) in. As a reminder, students will be marked tardy after 7:25. When picking up your child(ren) in the afternoon, the line will start at the designated sign. For safety and efficiency, you will need to display your child’s car tag on your windshield. Please be aware that if you are checking your child(ren) out early, the cut off time is 1:40. If you arrive after 1:40, join the car rider line.
Families of PreK students, please keep in mind that students dismiss at 1:55. You will need to park in the parking lot and walk to the classroom to check our child out.

This year, Southern Elementary is a CEP school. This means that all students will receive free breakfast and free lunch. I will attach September's breakfast and lunch menu below.

We will have our first lockdown drill this Friday. Please remind your child(ren) that this is just a practice drill. In the next few weeks, we will also conduct a fire drill and a tornado drill.
