Updates for the week of 9/18-9/22

Hello Eagle Families,

This is Mr. Moore with your updates for the week of 9/18-9/22. Thank you to the families that attended our annual Title One and PTA meeting. We look forward to the great things that will happen this year. Last week, we kicked off our World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser. This fundraiser will end on Friday, September 29th.

This week is Start with Hello Week. Start with Hello is a nationwide initiative that began after the Sandy Hook school shooting. It is to bring awareness to social isolation and the effects that it can have on our youth. The initiative also encourages children and adults to connect with peers who may seem alone and isolated, and to reach out to be a friend to them, in hopes to reduce or end social isolation. This themed week will consist of wearing green and looking for someone in need of a friend on Monday, wear a shirt/outfit of your favorite character on Tuesday, wacky tacky Wednesday, wear a Southern shirt or red on Thursday, and make your mark by wearing dots on Friday for Dot Day.

This week we will conduct our first fire drill. Families, please remind your child(ren) that this is just practice.
