Seniors & Juniors: Deadline for applications to join the Service Learning Youth Council is October 14, 2019.

As part of the GCS Service Learning Youth Council (SLYC) a select group of 30 to 45 students will have the opportunity to become leaders within service learning. The vision is that a diverse group of students that represent each high school will meet monthly and discuss service learning, leadership, and complete quarterly service projects. Students will interact with various guest speakers from the community, participate in out of school activities, and will work on networking and other important leadership skills.

Students who apply must be willing to attend monthly meetings, participate in service learning projects, and be prepared to communicate important information with their school community. Students need to be in the 11th or 12th grade and need to have been working with service learning since the 9th grade.
