A Transportation Preference form must be completed to request transportation. To ensure transportation for the 1st day of school, transportation requests must be submitted by July 1, 2022. Requests made after July 1, 2022 will be processed after the 15th day of school in the order received. Bus routes are not changed for the first 15 days of school.
Families with traditional and/or magnet students should complete a Transportation Preference Form if:
- They are new to GCS
- Their family has moved or there has been a change in address for the student
- Their student has changed schools
- Their student didn’t need transportation at the start of the school year but needs transportation now
Families do not have to complete a new Transportation Preference Form if all transportation information from the previous school year (i.e. school, morning pick-up location and afternoon drop-off location) will remain the same. If there have been any changes, a new Transportation Preference Form should be completed.
The Transportation Preference Form should NOT be completed for students who qualify for special transportation. Families should contact the EC School Support Coordinator at their child's school for any transportation requests or changes.
