Put Some Spring in Their Steps

Please help us put a little spring in the step of BSMS staff by signing up to contribute a baked good for a BSMS teacher! Sign up HERE to bring a yummy item on Friday, April 19th. Thanks in advance for your support!

Design Contest for Eighth Graders

Eighth graders: have you ever seen a t-shirt and thought “I could design a better one?” Well, here’s your chance! One winning design will be selected to be featured on the BSMS Class of 2024 t-shirt! Entries will be judged on both artistic merit and suitability for a tshirt. Designs are due to Ms. Fine by April 15th. See the attached flyer for guidelines and more information.

Eighth Grade Dance

TICKETS ON SALE NOW for the 8th Grade “EVENING ON THE RED CARPET” Semi-Formal dance scheduled for May 17th from 7:30-9:30 at Brown Summit Middle School!  Music & photo booth by Steel Impressions with DJ Mietus, red carpet swag, dessert bar, and raffles!  Tickets are $20/person and can be purchased now through May 10 via MemberHub Ticket Purchase or checks made out to BSMS PTSA and given to your AA teachers.

Permission forms are required for all BSMS students (your student will bring home a printed copy and forms will also be available on the school website). Students who would like to bring an 8th grade guest from another middle school should ask their AA teacher for the guest form.

We are in need of some parent volunteers to chaperone and clean up after the dance. Please sign up here if you are able to volunteer. We would love some 6th and 7th grade parent help so that 8th grade parents can enjoy readying their kids for the event.

End of Year Events - Save the Date!

The eighth grade promotions ceremony and schoolwide cookout will both be held on the final day of school, Friday, June 7.

The schedule of events for the day will be:

To pull these events off, we need volunteer help and a few loaner items. More details to come in future communications, including information on grade level donations.
