Test Proctors
Ms. Hamm is seeking some assistance with test proctoring on Wednesday, May 29, Thursday, May 30, and Friday, May 31. Proctors are asked to arrive at 8am for a brief training prior to testing; testing will conclude by noon each day. 8th Grade Promotion Events and Schoolwide Cookout
The 8th grade promotion ceremony and schoolwide cookout (which is open to all current students, family, and alumni) will be held on the final day of school, Friday, June 7. Please see the attached flyers for the schedule and details of these events and SIGN UP HERE if you’re able to help out at the promotion celebrations or school cookout.
If families are able, please contribute to the cookout as follows based on your student’s AA:

Sixth grade–water bottles (Bruce/Young); juice boxes (Hughes)

Seventh grade–individually wrapped desserts (please consider a nut free/allergy friendly options if possible)

Eighth grade–individually packaged chips/salty snacks (McCarthy/Cox); bags of apples or Cuties/Mandarin oranges (Shumaker)
There will be a PTSA representative collecting contributed items in the morning car rider line on Thursday, June 6. Feel free to also send items in with your student any day June 3-6.
May 21 PTSA Meeting via Zoom - Please Join Us to Vote on 2024-25 PTSA Board Members
We’ll hold the vote for board member seats for the 2024-25 school year at our next PTSA meeting on Tuesday, May 21 at 7pm at the following Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84335628488?pwd=OFY5NkgrK0lGZVZhTEozVFFTN3ZsQT09 Please join us for five minutes if possible, as we need a quorum to install our 2024-25 PTSA Board.

8th Grade Dance THIS FRIDAY
Last call for eighth graders to hit the red carpet during the annual semiformal this Friday, May 17–purchase your tickets today via MemberHub Ticket Purchase or send a check made out to BSMS PTSA (students can submit these to their AA teacher). Please return BSMS student permission forms with payment or complete online when purchasing tickets via MemberHub. We are still in need of some parent volunteers to chaperone and clean up after the dance. Please sign up here if you are able to volunteer or donate small gift cards we will use as raffle prizes for the students during the dance.
