Meet Mrs. Flynt

Can you believe I am starting my 28th year of teaching?  Time flies when you are working with the best students!  My previous teaching experience includes teaching third and fourth grades for twenty years.  This will be my eighth year teaching Academically Gifted, with two of those years also being an Instructional Coach/AG Teacher. 

What made me want to become a teacher?  My grandmother (born in 1899) went to what is now UNCG and obtained her teaching license, and she taught first grade at the same school that I attended elementary.  I always admired and looked up to her.  During my second year of teaching, I took a Talents Unlimited class that sparked my interest in AG.  During my fourth year of teaching, I pursued my AG teaching license.  I love to teach and work with my students.  Every day of every year brings new learning and excitement.  I hope I can spark your curiosity and interest in all that we learn this year.
