Hello. I am Mrs. Heather Higginbotham (or Mrs. H). I am the media specialist at Parkview Village. I am originially from Northern Virginia, but I have called North Carolina home for the past 15 years. I received my B.S. in English from Radford University in Virginia in 2001. Following that, I taught in both middle and high school for the next four years. My husband and I moved to Greensboro in 2005. In 2011, I earned my Masters in Library Science degree from UNCG. I then taught for six years at a charter school in Greensboro. We then moved to Uganda, Africa, for two years. While there, I worked for Amazima Ministries to create a library for students coming from the villages. It was a wonderful experience and our family grew to love Uganda and its people. But after two years, it was time to come home. I am the mother of three beautiful teenage daughters and a crazy dog named Kabaka. I love to travel, bake, and of course read. I am excited to be a part of the Parkview family.
