This is Mrs. Rogers with your updates for the week.

Can you believe it? We are already halfway through the school year. Monday marks the beginning of our 3rd Quarter and the start of the 2nd Semester. Students will begin their second semester Encore classes on Monday. They will receive a schedule in homeroom to follow. Opportunities for schedule changes were given at the beginning of the school year and will not occur again.

Strawbridge Studios will be on campus to take yearbook photos for clubs & performing arts majors during the school day on Monday, January 30th. Students should report to the gym for photos at their assigned time slot, which will be communicated to all teachers. Team and individual athletic photos will take place on Tuesday, January 31st after school and the schedule will be communicated to athletes and their families.

Basketball will be home on Monday against Swann with the boys playing first. Wrestling will be at Swann competing.

As a reminder to our 8th grade families, the GCS Choice Showcase will be Wednesday, February 1st from 5:30-8:00PM at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center. The is a great opportunity to look into all of the High School Choice Programs the district offers. The Choice School application window closes February 20th at 5PM.
