Oct. 9, 2020 – Guilford Parent Academy (GPA) is collaborating with Blended Learning and district teachers to offer virtual live help on the Canvas platform. The sessions will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the remainder of the 2020-2021 academic year, except holidays. The first session will take place Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Canvas is the web-based educational system for managing online course learning, materials and academic instruction. Parents will have the opportunity to get some support and strengthen their skills on the platform. Parents can also ask questions and share feedback.
“We understand that everyone is adjusting to a new way of learning and Guilford Parent Academy is here to fill in the gap,” said Kimberly Funderburk, director of GPA. “Not only do we want to help parents and families get through this year, but we want to help them thrive. These sessions are just one more way we are ensuring families have access to the support they need.”
