GPA Invites Elementary School Families to AG Info Webinars

Oct. 7, 2021 – Families with elementary school students are invited to upcoming webinars about the district’s Academically Gifted (AG) program. The sessions will cover the AG identification process and tools used to measure aptitude and achievement.  

“AG 101: Raising Awareness for Families Through AG Identification and Service” is coming up from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12 and again from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13.  

During the webinars, families will gain an understanding of the characteristics of gifted students and how to nurture those characteristics in and outside of the classroom. Additionally, families will learn what AG services look like in elementary school.  

The GCS AG department currently provides support for more than 14,000 advanced students in grades K-12. The department is committed to providing rigorous, challenging, and differentiated instruction to students who demonstrate a need for services beyond the regular education setting. Learn more at
