National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week- November 2020

From November 16th, 2020 to November 20th, 2020 GCS Departments, Schools and Staff participated in National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. All week there were activities put on by the Homeless Services and Community Support Department, along with our schools. The activities include hygiene and food drives, volunteering at Out of the Garden and BackPack Beginnings, donating miniature libraries to all the shelters, writing thank you cards to all of our community partners, along with many more. By GCS hosting this event, it helped bring awareness about hunger and homelessness to our community.
