GCS Teacher Retention Bonus

GCS is pleased to offer a $1,000 retention bonus to all teachers in November 2023. The bonus will be paid to all eligible staff on November 14, 2023. Please see the eligibility guidelines below.

 

Guidelines

  • Must be employed as of November 1, 2023 in a licensed position which is paid on, or the equivalent of, the state certified “teacher” salary schedule including local GCS supplement.

Examples of position types include Teachers, Media Specialists, Counselors, Curriculum Facilitators, Social Workers, Psychologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and District-Level Licensed Support.

  • Must be in active Payroll status as of November 1, 2023.

Employees in an eligible position who are on inactive Payroll status (i.e. on leave without pay) will be eligible to receive the bonus if they return to active Payroll status no later than March 1, 2024.

  • Must be receiving licensed rate of pay (Staff are not eligible while receiving sub pay).
  • Bonus amount is pro-rated based on percent employed.
  • The total bonus amount of $1,000 is pre-tax and subject to all applicable taxes and withholdings.
