Hello,
I am Joy Watson and I am excited to meet and work with students and staff at Gillespie Park as an EC Teacher.  I have two grown daughters Ivy and Ellie, who live in Oregon and West Virginia. I have moved 25 times, lived in three countries and five US states. I love live music and enjoy gardening, baking, cooking, reading books, knitting, and DIY home projects. I have lived in Greensboro for 10 years and graduated from Greensboro College Suma Cume Laude. Previously, I was at Andrews in High Point for five years. Prior to that, I worked at Grimsley for four years and prior to that, I worked at Sechrist elementary school in Flagstaff Arizona and Pine Forest Walforf Charter school. I am also a certified Master Gardener and a licensed NC Real Estate Broker / Realtor for Coldwell Banker.

Hello!  My name is Leatrecia Kinsey but I prefer to be called Renae.  I am from a small town in Eastern NC.  I am the mother of one.  She is 11 years old and her name is Alyssa.  I am returning to Greensboro, and very excited about my journey.  I went to college at NC A&T SU in the fall of 1999 and lived in this beautiful city for about 10 years.  I moved back home in 2009.  In my spare time, I enjoy trying new recipes, reading, singing, playing video and board/card games with my daughter.

I am going into my third year of teaching as an Exceptional Children’s Resource teacher and love it.  This by far has been the most rewarding career path that I have ever chosen.  Prior to teaching I worked for the Department of Social Services and wore many hats from secretary to child protective services worker, although rewarding it was very stressful!

I look forward to meeting and working with each of you!  I am so thankful and grateful to be a part of the Gillespie Park Family!  Go Gators!!!
