GCS plans to continue providing breakfast and lunch for students who live in poverty via its 40 Grab-and-Go Lunch sites at district schools.
In addition, the district has delivered meals to students living in homeless shelters, motels and other transitional housing. Community groups have added 48 sites for food distribution for students and families in need. Food distribution locations are posted on the GCS website: https://www.gcsnc.com/
